A Dizzying Endeavor
Who here is afraid of heights? We’d almost bet that many of us aren’t exactly thrilled about standing on a building and looking down, right? But did you know there are people who absolutely love such experiences? They perform stunts that many can’t even imagine, like balancing on ropes. And as if that weren’t enough, they also play instruments while high up in the air.
The people you see in the picture are wearing safety harnesses, but even with them, it feels scary. Why are they even up there? These two are members of a slackline music group called Houle Douce, and the photo is from 2018. They were training for an aerial acrobatics performance in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan Province, China. 1400 meters (4593 feet) above sea level, they displayed both courage and talent, while the whole world watched. There’s no doubt these two deserve great recognition for their work.
