Showing His Loyalty

“So, what did you want to speak about, Anna?” Andrew asked, irritation in his voice. “It’s Rebecca,” the woman replied, her tone disapproving. “I don’t think she’s right for you. I practically raised you as my own son, and I don’t approve.” Rebecca’s heart nearly stopped—it was Anna. His mother.

But before she could even process it fully, Andrew replied with conviction. “She’s my wife. You have no right to say that. You should go. She’ll be back tomorrow, and I want everything to be perfect for her.” Rebecca burst out from under the bed, tears streaming down her face. “How could you?” she cried. Anna reeled back in shock. Andrew was speechless. But in the end, he had stood by Rebecca. After that day, they stopped attending family lunches. Because they realized all they truly needed—was each other.
