The tension in the room was suffocating as Rebecca searched for the words to express what had been gnawing at her for weeks. “I know this might sound strange, but the way you and Anna are together—it doesn’t feel right. It makes me uncomfortable,” she admitted, her voice trembling with emotion and fear of how Andrew might react.
Andrew’s expression hardened instantly. He stepped toward her, his eyes sharp with fury. “You’re being ridiculous, Rebecca,” he snapped. “Anna has always been supportive of us. I won’t let you sabotage everything we’ve built just because you’re jealous of the bond I have with my mother.”
