Edmund Stoiber & Karin Stoiber
Edmund Stoiber is a key figure in Bavarian and German politics. He served as Minister-President of Bavaria from 1993 to 2007 and is known for his influence on the country’s political landscape. Stoiber ran for Chancellor in the 2002 federal election but was unable to win against Gerhard Schröder. Nevertheless, he remained an important player in German politics, advocating for numerous initiatives in the area of Bavarian and national policy.
Edmund Stoiber has been married to Karin Stoiber since 1968. The two have a long and successful partnership, which has produced three children and five grandchildren. Karin Stoiber is primarily known for her commitment to the hearing impaired and is a strong advocate for the Kinderhospiz Allgäu (Allgäu Children’s Hospice).
