Strange Remains

While exploring deeper into the warehouse, they stumbled upon what appeared to be old animal nests—clusters of fur, scattered feathers, and gnawed bones. Emma knelt beside one of them, lifting a tuft of fur between her fingers. “This doesn’t match Nyx,” she murmured. Ethan, flipping through a dusty, torn book nearby, sighed in frustration. “Nothing here is helpful,” he said. They searched every crevice, hoping for something that would explain Nyx’s origins.

Even Nyx seemed confused. He sniffed in circles but found nothing of interest. The more they looked, the less they seemed to uncover. The nests hinted at animal activity but not Nyx directly. Their anticipation slowly turned to disappointment. They had risked the warehouse trip hoping for a major discovery, only to leave with more questions and a strange feeling of having just scratched the surface of a deeper mystery.
