A Puzzled Vet
Dr. Morgan entered the room and was immediately taken aback by Nyx’s appearance. He crouched beside him, examining the intricate stripes running down Nyx’s back and sides. “This is incredible,” he said softly, brushing his fingers through the fur. “These markings almost look painted on.”
The family exchanged uncertain looks. “Is something wrong?” Mr. Johnson asked, his voice tentative. Dr. Morgan shook his head slowly. “Not wrong… just very unusual,” he replied, his expression one of fascination rather than fear. While the doctor remained composed, it was clear he had never seen anything like Nyx before—and that only heightened the mystery.
